On February 16, the president of the Catalan Government, Pere Aragonès, visited the headquarters of the Barcelona Centre for International Affairs (CIDOB) on the occasion of its 50th anniversary.

It is the first time that a president of the Government of Catalonia makes a visit to CIDOB’s headquarters, located in downtown Barcelona, in its 50 years of existence.  During his visit, Aragonès had the opportunity to share some views on the most pressing issues in the international agenda with the president of CIDOB, Antoni Segura, and the think tank’s director, Pol Morillas, as well as with several members of CIDOB’s research team.

Since its foundation in 1973 as an independent civil society born institution, CIDOB pursues excellence and rigour in its analysis, publications, and projects. It aims to be a useful tool for society, to ensure open access to knowledge and to promote the study of the international issues that affect citizens’ daily lives.
