Agustí Fernández De Losada

Agustí Fernández de Losada Passols is Senior Research Fellow and Director of the Global Cities Programme at CIDOB (Barcelona Centre for International Affairs); founding partner at Phare, Territorios Globales; consultant specialised in urban and territorial governance, city diplomacy and international cooperation; and associate professor of the International Relations Degree at Blanquerna-Universitat Ramon Llull and at IBEI (Barcelona Institute for International Studies) where he teaches International Relations of Global Cities. He is also and Vice-president of the board of the Interarts Foundation and partner at Nadir Perspectiva.

During his more than 25 years of professional career, he has worked for different international organizations, national and local governments and other public and private institutions. He has been Director of Studies at Tornos Abogados (2013-2019), Director of the Barcelona Centre for Territorial Studies (2012-2013), Director of International Relations at Diputació de Barcelona (2000 - 2012), General Coordinator of the Office of Orientation and Coordination of the EU URBAL Programme (2008-2012) and the Observatory of Decentralised Cooperation EU-LAC (2005-2012).

He holds a bachelor’s degree in law and a master’s degree in European Studies from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB). He also holds a degree in public management from ESADE Business School (ESADE). He is author of several books, reports, policy briefs, papers, and specialized articles.
