VIII Seminario Internacional de Seguridad y Defensa en el Mediterráneo. Nuevos escenarios de cooperación

Conjunto de ponencias, intervenciones e informes presentados en el octavo Seminario Internacional de Seguridad y Defensa en el Mediterráneo, celebrado en Barcelona el 26 de octubre de 2009. Se analizan nuevos escenarios de cooperación en materia de seguridad y defensa. En primer lugar, planteando una apertura conceptual con el análisis de los nexos entre seguridad convencional y seguridad humana y su correspondiente desafío en el mundo árabe; en segundo lugar, evaluando el diálogo trasatlántico y su repercusión en el Mediterráneo, especialmente relevante ante el nuevo enfoque adoptado por la nueva Administración Obama; y, por último, abordando cómo mejorar la cooperación en seguridad marítima, protección civil y gestión de crisis.
