Online session with Jan Olbrycht, MEP “Multiannual Financial Framework 2021-2027 and the Next Generation EU: The role and opportunities for cities and metropolitan areas”

CIDOB organises a new online session on October 16 with the participation of Jan Olbrycht, Member of the European Parliament, as a special guest. This session will be introduced by Ernest Maragall, Vice-president of International Relations and Cooperation of the Metropolitan Area of Barcelona (AMB). 

Member of the European Parliament since 2004, Jan Olbrycht is currently Vice Chairman of the European People’s Party Group, member of the Parliamentary Committee on Budgets (standing co-rapporteur on the Multiannual Financial Framework) and substitute member of the Regional Development Committee. He is also President of the European Parliament’s URBAN Intergroup. 

PhD in Sociology, regional policy and urban development expert, he is former mayor and president of one of the Polish regions, active in many European local and regional government organisations.
