The anti-globalization movement has, since the 1990s, been the main exponent of international resistance against capitalism, and the feminist movement has been an essential actor in this transnational network. Research into the way in which feminism participates in the global movement, and taking into account the international context shaping both struggles, highlights, on the one hand, the contributions made by feminist theory and practice to anti-capitalist thinking and struggle and, on the other, the opportunities and challenges that this participation in the anti-globalization arena represents for the feminist movement.

Key words: feminism, anti-globalization movement, transnational social movements, feminist economics, anti-capitalism
